The 12th Annual Howling Good Time Gala was held at Cielo At Castle Pines on Sept. 21, 2023 welcomed another sold out crowd. Thanks to the generous attendees, sponsors and volunteers, we were privileged to celebrate the retirement of K-9 Officer Scooter and secure enough funds to cover the cost of his replacement in the unit. More to come on that as we search out, evaluate and procure the newest member of the DCSO K-9 team!
We also had the honor of celebrating the illustrious career of the founder of K-9 Friends, Dr. Swieckowski, who was named an honorary K-9 Handler by the DCSO. We couldn't begin to extend enough gratitude for all that he has given to this community over the years. .
To date, your donations have raised more than $1.2 million, and this year’s Gala broke yet another record, thanks to the enduring generosity of the Douglas County community.
K-9 Friends relies heavily on our generous collection of sponsors to help us produce our annual Howling Good Time Gala. The Gala is our primary fundraising event of the year, and has made it possible to provide dogs, food, equipment and training for the DSCO K-9 Unit for the last 12 years.
